Sinn + Mesh Bracelet

When I saw a couple of mesh bracelets on sale in the Seiko Club Singapore forum, I grabbed them immediately without giving much consideration on which watch to match. (Sorry guys if you are eyeing on it, I have a weak spot for mesh.)

Now they are here, damn… I can’t find a suitable 20mm lug watch to match, so anyway, another reason is I want to do something for so long yet I couldn’t find the right bracelet for it.

I have bought a Sinn buckle for quite a while without really fully utilising it, now finally with spare time to boot, this combo came out.

Sinn Mesh Bracelet. The mesh is a straight 22mm, fit the buckle perfectly.

I have to find a watch with a shorter lug to lug distance as I have adjusted the mesh to the shortest possible length. The Caribbean fit the bill !

Aquadive Vintage NOS Diver Review

Vintage NOS Diver

The reason why I bought this is because it’s a limited edition series build from new old stock parts that Aquadive kept in their inventory.

Quoting Aquadive:

We have in our possession a very limited number of new old stock pieces of this classic 60s diver. A piece of dive watch history, a piece of Aquadive. This genuine NOS (New Old Stock) Aquadive has a Swiss hand made case equipped with a bidirectional rotating bezel and a classic aluminum insert. The cases were found fully assembled with a heslite domed crystal in the old Aquadive inventory. We have carefully re-assembled them by hand using all new gaskets. This watch had/has a depth rating of 660ft, and is equipped with a new Aquadive dial with applied superluminova markers. It is operated by a new Swiss Made genuine ETA 2824-2, 25 jewel movement replacing the original movement in order to guarantee performance for years to come.

The white rectangular hands looks good matching the hour indices.

Aquadive Bathyscaphe 100 Review

Finally, I got some time with my camera + natural lighting after yesterday’s unboxing armed with just my iPhone 4S.

Aquadive Bathyscaphe 100

I am very impressed with the solid built of the watch, there’s definitely a lot of wrist presence with the Bathyscaphe 100.

The whole dial design, hour markers and the choice of hands makes it very attractive as a modern diver yet retain some of the old designs.

Omega Mesh vs Hong Kong Mesh

Spent the morning take photos of the Omega mesh, damn it’s a good bracelet.

When I handled badern’s mesh the first time, I didn’t have another mesh to compare to, so I thought all mesh are made equal.

So now I have both the Hong Kong adjustable mesh and Omega mesh side by side, hope the series of photos will help you decide if it’s worth shelling the extra bucks for it.

Side by Side comparison

Here you can see the Omega mesh on the left is better finished and smoother to the feel.
