After I found the hack to extend or remove the auto phone lock which is enforced by the Microsoft Exchange Security Policy. The changed settings don’t really last, even after disabling the “Enable Device Policy Update” !

So as long as that 15min time out lock came back, I have to apply the hack settings again. Oh bummer..

Added a new hack to my tweaks and tips for HTC Touch Pro.

You can change the Battery Icons, this hack will present your battery level in percentage rather than bars in the default.

The .cab installation didn’t work for me, I downloaded and replaced thephcanOverbmp.dll and import the FInix VGA Battery and Network Icons.reg manually.

My story on why I decided to change the phone lock timeout.

When I first power on my HTC Touch Pro, I went through the start up wizard, it prompt me to set a phone lock pin and a timeout for activating the lock. I decided to go with 15mins, since I can change it later.

I decided to configure an Exchange profile on my Touch Pro for my office emails, since I have a Mobile Broadband plan with a 50GB data limit.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 preview Review

Aside from being Sony Ericsson’s first Windows Mobile phone, the Xperia X1 also looks set to be one of Sony Ericsson’s most successful smart phones yet. Boasting a cornucopia of features including a full Qwerty keypad, we have high hopes for the X1.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 will be available to buy in June and will most likely come free on a monthly contract.
